We all want a computer that works smoothly and rapidly. The WareSoft Software-developed application 7Smoker Pro promises to offer just that, it promises to boost your computer’s performance by letting you quite easily make changes to the Windows Registry.

The Windows Registry application works with all versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows 7 operating system. Before installing it on your Windows 7-powered computer (a very simple process by the way), you will have to get a 6MB executable off the web and onto your computer. Downloading and installing 7Smoker Pro will take very little time to complete.

7Smoker Pro's interface focuses on two things: your system’s resources and the application’s functionality. To the interface’s left hand side, you will see information about your system resources. To the right, 7Smoker Pro’s functionality is presented on a category basis: Tweaks, Maintenance, Security and Passwords.

As I mentioned above, 7Smoker Pro promises to boost your computer’s performance. In the Tweaks category, there’s an Auto Tuner option – with a simple click of the mouse you can tune your system to perfection. Be warned though that the process can take a bit of time to complete (it all depends on your system). Also in the Tweaks category, there’s another option that I found to be very useful: Startup Manager. You can view which applications automatically run at startup, disable the ones you don’t like to do that and add applications that you want to run automatically.

From the Maintenance category you can find out which directories take up the most space on your hard drive and you can remove the files that are needlessly taking up space on your system. From the Security category you can play with UAC, firewall, login options and more. Last but not least, from the Passwords category you can make sure that nobody but you can access 7Smoker Pro – from this category you can password protect 7Smoker Pro.
